Hybrid Bikes

A hybrid is generally fitted with 700c wheels (the same size as road bikes) but have slightly wider tyres. These tyres are generally multipurpose, in that they have a smooth centre for efficiency on tarmac, but may have a raised outer tread to give better grip when the cycle is used off road. Comfortable curved handlebars can give, on most models, a "sit up and beg" riding position.
